Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know

Ahhh...fond memories of Gauntlet came to mind when I saw the screens for this, the newest game with a level of insanity befitting the name Adventure Time. "Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know" is in the capable hands of WayForward, those folks making you beg to get your hands on DuckTales Remastered...so that should up your level of wanting immediately! This is a Diablo-esque dungeon crawler where you take control of several characters from the Adventure Time series (up to 4 players) with strengths and weaknesses that encourage team play.

The all-new action game will be available for the first time ever on the Wii U™ system from Nintendo, the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Windows PC, as well as a return to the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system this fall. In a completely new storyline and adventure and featuring the voices of the show’s most popular characters, fans will have to save the Candy Kingdom by exploring the mysteries surrounding a massive Secret Royal Dungeon deep below the Land of Ooo. Select from an assortment of fan-favorite characters from the show, including Finn, Jake, Marceline, Cinnamon Bun, and more, and team up with your friends in four-player co-operative multiplayer as the Adventure Time world comes to life. Adventure Time is the pop culture sensation, Emmy® Award-nominated, top-rated animated comedy, and its popularity continues to soar across the globe among fans of all ages.

Siliconera gives additional details in their hands-on report; "While Jake can stretch, his reach is the same as Finn and Marceline. Jake’s stretching powers are mainly used to crossover gaps. Marceline can fly over obstacles, but she has less hit points, two instead of the standard three hearts. Cinnamon Bun has four hearts and kind of acts as the party healer. Attacks charge a super meter and each character has a different ability. Cinnamon Bun barfs health restoring food other players can pick up. Jake and Finn have summons that damage all of the enemies on screen." They also mention the first boss is the Demon Cat with approximate knowledge of everything. Mind explodey.

Sounds like I won't need to spend 3 hours learning the controls of this one! Just my speed. Look for Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know this November. Click Here to pre-order!
